Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective Date:  1 August, 2025

At VTN - VIP Tours Nicaragua, we strive to provide unforgettable travel experiences. This policy explains how deposits, payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled.

1. Deposits

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.

  • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, except if VIP Tours Nicaragua cancels the tour (see Section 3).

2. Balance Payment

  • The remaining 50% balance is due 7 days before the tour start date (or immediately if booked within that 7-day window).

3. Cancellation by Customer

For multi-days tours:

  • More than 30 days before start: full refund minus non-recoverable third-party costs.

  • 30 to 7 days before start: 75% cancellation fee.

  • Less than 7 days before start, no-shows, or same-day cancellations: 100% cancellation fee.
    Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.

For 1-day tours:

  • More than 72 hours before the tour start time: A 30% cancellation fee applies.

  • Less than 72 hours before the tour start time: A 50% cancellation fee applies.

  • No-show or failure to arrive without notice: A 100% cancellation fee applies.

4. Cancellation by VIP Tours Nicaragua

We may cancel or reschedule a tour due to:

  • Weather or safety concerns

  • Insufficient participants

  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes)

If we cancel a tour:

  • Customers may choose to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a full refund including the deposit.

5. Refund Processing

  • Refunds (when applicable) will be processed within 10–15 business days.

  • Bank, PayPal, or payment processor fees are non-refundable.

6. Non-Refundable Items

  • 50% booking deposit

  • Fees from third-party providers (hotels, tickets, transport)

  • Personal travel expenses (insurance, visas, etc.)
